How Do You Find Love...
When All You See Is Hatred and Bigotry?
A collage of monologues and dance tells the story of one man's struggle with race and sexual identity in America - and the sobering realization that the anger that fuels his journey is due not only to external forces, but also to phobias from within.

Extended 2-Nights Only Run Begins At Studio C Artists In December
Thursday, December 1st @ 8:00 PM
Thursday, December 8th @ 8:00 PM
Approximate running time: 1 hour
I LOVE ME, I LOVE ME NOT is a compelling one-act which follows Derek Ringold's fight for equality against the bigotry he faced growing up as a gay African-American male in a changing and challenging world. This powerful performance of words and movement illuminates Ringold's personal troubles and triumphs, from the footlights of Broadway to the soundstages of Hollywood. Along the way, he gets caught up in the world of sex, drugs, and lost boys that is sadly all too common in West Hollywood – and with one finger on the self-destruct button, he ultimately attempts suicide. Self-loathing eventually turns into redemption and love, when he comes to realize that he can't change the outer world, until he begins to change his inner self.
